Stormy weather greeted the players of both teams on arrival at the ground but it soon cleared and Macclesfield captain David Mayers chose to bat on an artifical strip.
Life Church worked hard in the field; affecting 3 run outs and holding on to most of their catches.
The sun had come out and the Burnley side were confident of chasing 107 to win.
Once again, however, the big hitters failed to fire and the run rate was simply too slow throughout. Credit for this must be given to some economical bowling from A Maurice and S Bubb.
Life Church Man of the Match: Matt Lawson, returning suberb figures of 4-0-10-2 and holding on to 2 catches at Midwicket.
